Dr. Ruby Gill, MD — Founder & Medical Director

Dr. Ruby Gill graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2011. She completed a psychiatry internship at the University of Arizona before pivoting to family medicine residency at PIH Health Hospital in Whittier, California.

Board certified in both Family Medicine (ABFM) and Integrative Medicine (ABOIM), Dr. Gill earned her Fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the University of Arizona in 2022. She holds the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) credential — one of few physicians in San Joaquin County with this designation.

Dr. Gill brings 15 years of clinical experience with the last decade focused exclusively on hormone health. She established the first integrative and functional medicine practice in San Joaquin County, filling a gap she witnessed firsthand in conventional care.

Her patients travel more than 50 miles by word-of-mouth referral alone. That reach reflects a reputation built on measurable outcomes, not marketing promises.

Dr. Gill also operates Gill Aesthetic Institute. Sanara Medicine represents her commitment to leading publicly with evidence-based integrative medicine — a physician who happens to be talented at aesthetics, not the other way around.

She was featured on the cover of HerLife Magazine in February 2026.

Dr. Sahil Rao, MD — Physician

Dr. Sahil Rao completed his medical training in Punjab, India, followed by an Internal Medicine residency in Ohio. He holds board certification in Internal Medicine and completed a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona.

Dr. Rao practiced in Stockton, California and Austin, Texas before joining Sanara Medicine. His background bridges Western medicine and Ayurveda — a perspective that strengthens the whole-person diagnostic approach at the practice.

His core emphasis centers on hormonal health and metabolic function. With two physicians on staff, Sanara Medicine can coordinate care for individuals and couples navigating midlife health transitions simultaneously.

An Upstream Approach to Medicine

Sanara Medicine treatment room reflecting the practice philosophy of whole-person care

Sanara Medicine treats root causes rather than symptoms. Conventional medicine often prescribes medication to manage a lab value. Integrative medicine asks why that lab value changed in the first place.

Hormones, metabolism, skin health, and sexual wellness are interconnected systems. A thyroid imbalance affects weight. Cortisol dysregulation disrupts sleep. Declining estrogen changes skin texture and bone density. Sanara Medicine evaluates these systems together instead of referring patients to four separate specialists.

Every protocol begins with a comprehensive functional medicine workup — not a 15-minute appointment. The physicians analyze extensive lab panels, health histories, and lifestyle factors before recommending any treatment.
